Licence Suspension
Mr Paul Lockwood (SC97) has had his licence suspended following abuse against officials at the North of England Championships. Until the matter has been discussed at the next Directors meeting, Mr Lockwood will be unable to race, officiate or mechanic at any race meeting, anywhere in the country.
Class 2 Corsa
The Class 2 Corsa will now be allowed to compete in Ladies Class 2 at the 2008 Ladies and Juniors Nationals. However, the Corsa will still not be allowed to compete in Class 2 at the 2008 Mens Nationals.
Junior Specials - Newman Cams
It is with regret we have decided to disallow Newman Cams for use in Junior Specials. Whilst it was a good idea, Newmans could not deliver a cam that would work without alterations to other related components.
Any Junior Special driver with a Newman Cam can return the Cam to Newmans for a full refund. Regards, Derek Hardy (NASA Chief Scrutineer) & Gordon Harris (Director In Charge).
Mens Nationals 2008
In an effort to ensure racing begins at 9am Saturday, Substitute drivers will be allowed through Scrutineering on Friday night from 5.30pm.
It has been agreed that the Start Procedure will be via a Bungee system. NASA are now going to purchase two bungee systems for use at future National Championships.
Marshalls are urgently needed for the Nationals, please get in touch if you would like to Marshall.
Media / Photographers
NASA would like to remind all media personnel and Photographers that they must not stand between any spectator and race fences during racing. You are still able to stand behind the spectator fence or behind marshall's posts as before.
2009 Ladies & Junior Nationals
The 2009 Ladies & Junior Nationals will be held by the East Anglian League on St. Neots track at Wyboston.
Event Permits
Clubs and Leagues are still leaving it until the last minute to send off for Event Permits. You must send off for your event permit at least two weeks before your meeting is scheduled or the permit may not be issued.
